Privacy Policy
Body keeps your health data on your device. This policy describes what Body accesses, what stays on your device, and the choices you control.
Apple Health Access
- Body requests read access to workouts, workout routes, Activity Rings, exercise, steps, daylight, sleep, heart, respiratory, blood oxygen, body measurement, energy, and skin temperature data.
- Body requests write access only when you choose to save a weight or body-fat measurement from the Basics detail screen, or an effort rating from a workout detail screen.
- The only data Body writes to Apple Health is the weight and body-fat measurements you enter, and the workout effort ratings you save. Body does not write any other health samples.
Local-First Data
- Health summaries, workout snapshots, widget snapshots, appearance choices, unit preferences, Health source choices, card visibility, and app icon choices stay on this device.
- Widgets read a cached snapshot from the shared app group. Widgets do not query HealthKit directly.
- If you use the Apple Watch app, Body sends a compact metrics snapshot to your paired watch through Apple WatchConnectivity so the watch app and complications can display recent values.
Network Access
- Body does not send Apple Health data to external analytics, advertising, tracking, or AI services.
- When a GPS workout route is shown, Apple MapKit may load map imagery, and Apple geocoding may be used to turn the route midpoint into a city or region label.
- Feedback email is optional. If you choose Feedback, your email app prepares a message with app version, device, system, locale, and time zone details so you can review it before sending.
- Opening How to Use, Support, or Privacy links loads the documentation pages from this website.
Your Control
- You can change Body's Health permissions in the Health app or iOS Settings.
- You can choose default Apple Health sources in Body's Data settings, hide Health categories from Body, clear local caches, and rebuild the cache from Apple Health.
- Deleting Body removes the app's local cache and settings from the device.
